Respect for a Lifetime of Service

Retired Police, Military & Service Dog Lifetime Care

Evaluation-based care and placement review for eligible retired working dogs whose handlers, agencies or lawful owners are seeking a safe next chapter.

Working Dogs Deserve a Thoughtful Transition

Retirement can involve medical needs, reduced mobility, environmental sensitivity, established commands and a strong bond with a handler. A responsible plan starts with accurate records and an honest evaluation of the dog’s individual needs.

Dogs That May Be Reviewed

Police & Public-Safety Dogs

Lawfully released K9s with agency and handler documentation.

Military Working Dogs

Only after official release and lawful transfer authorization.

Service & Assistance Dogs

Retired dogs whose owners need a carefully matched care option.

Professional Working Dogs

Security, detection, livestock-guardian and other trained working dogs.

What Lifetime Care Means

When a dog is accepted under a written agreement, the goal is safe housing, suitable nutrition, veterinary coordination, enrichment, exercise appropriate to the dog’s condition and a placement or permanent-care plan matched to the dog. Specific responsibilities are documented case by case. Arizona Guard Dogs does not promise acceptance where safety, legal authority, health needs or available capacity cannot be responsibly managed.
